Coloring on Kraft

The laundry, dishes and grocery shopping are done so I figured I deserved to treat myself...by playing a bit in my craft room!  I tried coloring with colored pencils on kraft cardstock with these whimsy flowers from Simon Says Stamp (Watercolor Friendly Flowers set).  My outlining could use some work, but this was a fun technique!  The sentiment is from Verve and brick embossing folder is Taylored Expressions.

Thanks to these challenges for the inspiration:

  2. So glad that you spent your treat time on this fabulous card! The brick wall embossing is a great contrast for those bright flowers. I'd never have guessed you'd used colouring pencils on them, so they're so vibrant and the white outline really makes them pop. Thanks so much for joining us at As You See It.
